Georgian Strategic Analysis Center and its researcher, Anatoli Korepanov, prepared the report of the research “Good governance standards in Georgian national sports federations”, which was presented in the Georgian parliament, at the Sports and Youth Affairs committee’s hearing.
The research examined (In October-December of 2018) 5 Georgian national sports federations’ (Wrestling, football, handball, tennis and water sports federations) implementation of good governance standards and principles. The examination consisted of 274 criterias, which were grouped in 4 categories: 1) Transparency; 2) Democratic processes; 3) Inner accountability and control 4) Civil responsibility.
The research was conducted within the international project “Good governance standards in national federations” by “Danish Institute of Sport Studies”, members of which were countries of European Union and its partners. The research in Georgia was funded by European Council.
