On September 21st, Georgian Strategic Analysis Center hosted the Turkish ambassador to Georgia, his excellency, Zeki Levent Gumrukcu.
The ambassador met with participants of the Media Communications & National Security Program. He spoke about regional issues and their influence on Georgian-Turkish relations. Since the meeting was interactive, the ambassador received question involving Turkey’s relations with the EU, the 2016 coup attempt and its influence on recent political developments in Turkey, including human rights issues in the country. A good portion of the meeting involved discussion of the prospects of Georgian-Turkish cooporation in security, energy, transit and economic issues.
