On November 18th, by the cooperation between the Georgian Strategic Analysis Center (GSAC) and the analytical organization GEOCASE, there was a presentation of the declaration, which was created through the framework of the “National Unity Academic Platform”.
The purpose of the “National Unity Platform” is to promote reducing polarization in society and establish a multilateral cooperation space, which will be based on the common values that should initially encourage civil society and academic circles, as well as, the broader parts of public. In the process of creating the declaration, members of the academic and civil society were involved. They defined the common postulates for the development of the country that reflected in the content of the declaration. The presentation was attended by the Ambassador of The United States to Georgia, Kelly Degnan, as well as ambassadors of other partner countries, representatives of the diplomatic corps, non-governmental organizations, and civil society.
The “Declaration of National Unity” will be available on the official pages of the Georgian Strategic Analysis Center and Geocase. All residents of Georgia will be allowed to sign the declaration. Presentations are also planned to be held in sixth university cities of Georgia.
